CONCEPT
In this project, we were to choose a contemporary typeface to research, analyze, and design a section for a visual book about typefaces. While it features sections of other typefaces designed by my peers, another aspect of the project was to design our own cover, end sheets, front matter, and end matter. For my section I chose the typeface Villanelle designed by Joseph Dennis. I was inspired by retro scary movie posters and designed with the intention of looking sophisticated and bold.
